Spring has sprungby ucanoeComment by hotpasta: good overall, but we see hundreds of flower shots on dpc, which I love, so they have to make me really go WOW, and this one doesn't ... sorry :( depth of field and focus are good |

I'm not in the mood for fooling around! by ucanoeComment by Teafran: Every time an image of one of these great apes is presented, one had to wonder what they are thinking. A great close in image, it appears to be a little over exposed resulting in a loss of the natural orange color. From a technical stanpoint, it is richly detailed, properly focused portrait. The artistic impact is good, just not as powerful as it could be. Worthy entry into the challenge. |

Haleakala Sunrise, Mauiby ucanoeComment by bassbone: the intensity of sunrises on Haleakala are some of the most amazing sights in the world
the lack of details in the clouds, the lack of ground in the foreground to anchor the shot, and the blown out sunlit area in the upper right take away from the overall effect of the image
P.S. I got your PM. On the good side, i like the yellows and oranges you captured and think it conveys a nice sense of warmth. (still give it a 5) |
