a super place, pilgim's rest. we spent a grey, drizzly day there with our 4 month old (at the time). it was still great, and offered many great shots.

i like this, but find the lens distortion a bit distracting. perhaps cropping it to miss the lamppost and editing out the wires might have helped.

Woaah, I did recognise this building immediately. During my only visit to RSA in nov 2003, on the way back (to Pelindaba) from the Kruger Park, we had lunch in Pilgrims rest. Prior to this pitstop I had been looking hard to find a mailbox (> 1 week) for my cards. The one I finally found was located in this building. This picture brought some memories back to me - therefor I'll give you a 10, many thanks!

The picture: Great focus on the main item - the house. Nice clouds - great feeling!

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.

Unfortunately, red being a difficult color it has traveled up and encompassed the face as well. I see little sharpness, focus, and little expression or emotion in this. I would have liked to have seen it turned to b/w to rid of the red tones. However, with that said, it isn't that bad for a candid, and I did give it a 4.

I'm not sure what this really says about being 'too early' for something. It seems to be stretching a point a bit. This is a difficult subject to photograph so you get points for that. I don't care for the long, narrow cropping at all.

it may just be me, im sort of weird about some things, but i dont really like when pictures are cropped tall and skinny like that.
