Simple Symmetryby hicksComment by mcaldo: Possibly, a lower angle would have worked better (sneakily, maybe even arranging the leaves in a symmetrical pattern or path, given the bridge seems to end on a bunch of leaves). I find fascinating that the bridge seems to lead, well, nowhere. Chromatically, maybe it would work better with a less pronounced green dominant. |

Simple Symmetryby hicksComment by myqyl: The more I look at it the more I like it. Strong vanishing lines. Colors seem somehow "off"... |

Breeding Season in the Gannet Colonyby hicksComment by HarveyG: I too wanted to movie frame my entry. I opted out. NG might have a black border below the image for text, but not top and bottom. Having said that, this type of shot is very common in NG. I battled to determine how sharp it was, even looking at it on 3 different monitors. I think it isn't as crisp as it could be, we are spoiled on DPC, but I don't think it is OOF or blurred, just maybe need a higher s/s. Still the sky is natural, the busy colony activity is interesting and it could be used in conjunction with a story. |
