Chilly Watersby BigHusker001Comment by frisca: a tighter crop to take out some of the snow at the top would really have brought out the water in this picture! :) |

Chilly Watersby BigHusker001Comment by dimitrii: While it is a very nice image, it seems just a bit oversharpened. Also composition wise, in my opinion this would have worked better in B&W and with a lower shutter speed. A very nice photograph nevertheless, good luck. |

It All Started With Sticks and Stonesby BigHusker001Comment by Gracious: You're right of course! Some may penalize you for being so.........um.......primitive. Not me. I like the idea. In a book of technology sticks and stones should be included. About this photo, the lighting is a little harsh and makes it look sort of flat, no shadows and highlights. Side lighting, either earlier or later in the day, when the sun is low in the sky would attain the shadows to give it depth, and the colors would be a little more saturated. There are some russets, and greens, and browns and greys in here. Less light would bring them out. Good luck in the challenge. Grayce :-) |
