Humming Birdby TannyComment by bucket: beautiful shot, great background tones..it is a shame that you didn't catch it on a different angle, but I think it is great you caught it at all... |

Bald Eagleby TannyComment by yanko: I tend to like photos that have strong compositions over other things and this has that. I love how the eagle's head fills the entire left side in this profile shot. I would brighten the whites more but otherwise a great shot! |

Old Magicby TannyComment by eschelar: That's really nice. I like the tones and the lighting/detail in the shadows. The angles work well to make the composition interesting. |

Bald Eagleby TannyComment by jpochard: I really like this profile view. On my monitor, I'd like to see a bit more contrast. It appears a bit flat. Nice sharp detail and composition. |

Eye of the Flying Tiger..by TannyComment by jpochard: Wonderful shot! Great contrast and depth to the colors but no blown highlights. I like the plain background...nothing to distract from that piercing stare. Nicely done. |

Old Magicby TannyComment by Tanny: Thankyou very much.
I was begining to think i was the only one that liked this. It means alot to me to get your kind feedback.
Yes, the story is true. As said below he did lose in the national final BUT, definately no shame in that. Although he did say to me afterwards on the way home (from losing in the finals) "see i knew i should have worn those today".
Made me feel terrible. |

Humming Birdby TannyComment by Tanny: Thankyou all for your comments.
With this little fella i spent two days trying to get this. He was crafty as the feeder was on the outter porch about 14ft off the ground.
The dark green you see behind were actually green trees but every time i tried to get a focus on the bird it kept focusing on the trees so didnt get any joy away from the feeder.
But when they land at the feeder they will land on the dead opposite side to where you are standing. As soon as the cam is lifted he was off. This shot i was fortunate for him to come to the feeder before my arm started to ache lol. But i never had a tripod so couldnt even set it up and get out of the way.
Next year though on vacation im going to get a cracker :) |
