I'm sorry but this is horrible. This picture is not pleasing to look at in any way. Please PM me to explain what you were thinking. I'm sorry to be so mean, but I really really don't like this photo. Having said that, don't stop taking pictures! You will improve if you have the right attitudes and sincerely try to improve. Look at some of the higher scoring photos, then look at this one, and ask yourself which is better, and why.

Highlights are very strong here. The cable on the right is distracting - it doesn't add anything to the shot. This would have been an interesting composition without it.

The detail on the eye is wonderful, but I think that black something is a bit distracting especially considering that there is more picture under it. Maybe if the picture just ended with black on the bottom without more light?

Lovely detail in the pupil - your use of sepia really brings that out. What is the bar across the photo though? The frame of a pair of glasses? I really like how you lit the face, making the area around the eye a bit blown out - it really seperates the darker part of the eye and draws the viewers attention to it.
