Well, here you are with your first Challenge under your belt. Congratulations for getting your feet wet, both figuratively, and from your image, in reality as well.
While I like your image quite a lot, it could have used a little mor real estate in front of the puddle to give even more of an indication of the hurdle to be overcome by the vehicle trying to traverse it.
It looks as if it was a foggy day and you still captured some good value changes. More would have helped. If you can, you might try bracketing your shots to see if another close setting could bring out more of the colors. (I had to look really hard in my instruction book to find out how to do that)
Image too small: If you have Photoshop CS or CS2 (I don't know about Elements) you can Save to Web. This is the easiest way to get to 640 pixels on the longest side. (I save these truncated images in a separate file) If you have any questions on this, PM me and I'll see if I can help.
