Great shot, a sea of basketweave flowing into the distance. The stray string is shouting out for a different title to this picture, it seems to warrant an entry in the 'independance' section, because that stray string seems to want to forge it's own route and refuses to comply with the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might just be my screen - but there looks to be a smudge on the wall to the right of the girls face and the sippy cup. It is distracting to me at least. The wall color is not a great background choice - but we cannot control everything, can we? Otherwise, the color balance is nice and vibrant. Would have been good if you could have caught her eyes looking upward just a tad so that you could see them a bit.

I like that it's in color. Adds some interest. Also, at first, I thought that the 'stray string' was a distraction, making the shot seem less uniform, however, I think I like it. Makes it just a bit different in that area to add something to look at and not make it just solid basket. Focus and DOF are both really good. LIghting seems alright as well. The subject isn't something that's making me jump out of my seat with excitement, however, it's a well done photo, technically good. ~Heather~

Try to bounce the flash off the ceiling next time. The lighting is pretty harsh. I like the red hair - you are going to have your hands full!

This would serve the challenge better (in my opinion) if the DOF were a little longer. The texture idea begs a better focus farther back in the shot.
