DSC_0022.jpgby DonaldoComment by Jutilda: Look at the determination in his eyes. To make it less "centered," I'd crop out part of his back and you'd still have a really great shot. The colors and lighting are great and not "hot" in the outdoor setting. |

top-fuel-03_0036_1a.jpgby DonaldoComment by Rasai: WOW! Excellence! Even with that long lens I'm surprised that the SOUND didn't cause a vibration blur... You really nailed this shot... I sorry I missed voting this the 10 I would have given it! |

Why you taking my photo? Did I say you could take my photo?by DonaldoComment by DustDevil: From the Critique Club
Very strking pose, the smoothness of the front/wings makes it looks fake in some way. But not in a negative way. I like the framing of the bird on the right. Enough room between the side and the bird and then space to the right.
Very high quality photo. Nice color and brightness. Nothing to overpowering. Only thing I personally find a little distracting is the background. It goes from dark to light. Some may like it but I had to really search for something I did not like about this photo.
I think it is a great capture and not sure why it did not place higher. |
