Dramatic cliffs? Check. Beautiful sunny day? Check. I really like images that highlight interesting geological places. Very nice sediment layers shown. The control of the natural light looks good and the focus is nice too. I do wish I could see more of the sediment layers though and the hue of the surroundings is a little blah. I wonder how that looks with the pale light of dawn or warm brush of a sunset hitting it. The sun position makes the shadows fall across the face of the rock which is blotting out a fair amount of interest points, but its still a great image with nice contrasts between sky and land. I am so surprised this didn't score higher. What beautiful animals and I think it worked well for this challenge. Not an easy shot to get and I thought your composition was good. The only thing that might help it more would be to blur the background some. Still, a shot to be proud of.
