Very nice macro and interesting use of depth of field. Almost abstract or alien.

Comment by Army of nOne:
The DOF is so shallow, the head almost seems disembodied. Good composition, but I find the overall blur effect distracting.

Not so sure I like the placement of Dad's shoe - or maybe it's just his big feet :-) but I really like the color contrast of the generally muted colors with the bright red sweater and hat.

This is yet another wonderful expression you've managed to capture! Look at those perfect circle eyes and the mouth - an upside down 'W'. The crop is tight, but seems to work.

These "Bangladesh Lady" shots are so rich with expression. I wonder what they're looking at, what they're thinking... Even the blurred face of the person in the background mirrors the feeling shown in the main subject.

I love your portfolio.

Hello from the Critique Club!

I can look at a perfectly executed painting or even a photograph for that matter and it can often leave me cold. This image just makes me feel happy for some unknown reason.
Yes a different DOF might have made this image better technically, but I’m sure something very unique and important would have been lost in the process. THAT wing!! It’s like gossamer on fire – its like a fairy type elemental coming through from another dimension and laughing at the silliness of us humansâ€Â¦you could not capture that again if you tried for the next 100 years!

The colours in this image could have come from a painter’s palette – planned and perfect - perfect together.

This image just works for me and I̢۪m glad your depth of field and focus were as they were. For that reason I can̢۪t bring myself to find any faultJ
