Finds the shot a little messy and the B/W processing a little sloppy. Feels like a coloured photo desaturated. Might want to check out the tutorials on the conversion to B/W, it does gives some good tips. Sorry Mate.

Love the photo. You've done a great job of using BW to bring out the interesting texture in the rope. Nice balance of blacks and midtones while still maintaining a lot of detail. Only thing I don't particularly like, just because it doesn't really do anything for the shot, is the DOF. The bottom few strands are out of focus and it is more distracting than anything as it doesn't really lead your focus to anywhere - everything in the shot is the same. Otherwise, great job. Hope you do well. 8.

I like the B/W. A small suggestion that I saw in some other pictures, to add a POI, an (interesting) object was put somewhere between the ropes.

Nice one... it's funny that it was actually easier to see as a thumbnail. I'm sure there's some scientific/artistic term or reason for that. Is that a strangler fig?
