Great colors and reflections. It's interesting how the area of sun doesn't look to have any fog, but the rest of the scene does. Was that post processing or a trick of light?

I do not like these flowers in b&w. To dark and not enough contrast.

Hello again Brandi :)

First, your question :-)
If you type about:admin at the address bar, you'll get a lot of functions that are not available in the menus. Since I'm not sure what the problem is, I cannot check with setting could be the correct one :P But you can look for anything filtering by quality, image, etc, until you find it.
If this doesn't work, try and reset your FF.

As for the photo:

Composition
I like the silhouette, I like the way you can still see the ground, but I think it was cut a little short on the left side, as you can't see the whole tree. It would make this photo much more robust if the entire tree was there, then it could be like "A tree and a sunset". Like this, it feels a little more like a sunset and the tree is a bit in the way. Not too much, but still a bit.

Lighting / Technique
The colours are just fabulous, your sky gradient is just so smooth and warm that you really feel you were there. Probably could have lowered the ISO just to reduce the noise in the sky, and make it even smoother.

Processing
As you said, the shot didn't need much PP, since it's all there. If it was me, just to make viewers a little more directed at the sunset, I would have used a little vignetting, to close the perspective.

Take care,
Joao

Hi Brandi, greetings from the Critique Club!

First reaction I had when I saw your photo was: "Wow, there's so much details on the fur, it's amazing!"
It's a shame that it place here it did, but anyway it was a 5.78 score, not too bad.

Lighting
Great use of natural lighting, the shadows are not distractive, and the subject is very well lit.

Composition
Although a crop at the top would bring the feline into a more central position, it would make it a square crop, and it might be too tight, I do think that you choose correctly in this manner.

Processing
As said already below, since it was an advanced edit challenge, some brightening / dodging could have been used on the eyes / face to make it a little bolder.
The sharpening is amazing and it's what really brings out the picture.
The problem with this scene is that you don't have that much contrast between the puma and the background; one choice could have been to slightly desaturate the background, so the subject would stand out more. Also lighting up the puma would detach it from the bg pretty well.

Overall, it's a photo that really makes an impression, and at 1/60 you had a very steady hand (or a very sturdy tripod :)

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Regards,
Joao
