Nice picture - however, the light source was supposed to be artificial.

Cool. But is the Sun an artificial light source?

Even though the challenge says "artificial light source" I'll give you 100% of the score I would have given you if this would have been lit with a flashlight instead of sunlight...why? Because on the "2 second" challenge there was a lot of discussion on "if it doesn't break the advanced or basic editing rules then all is fair game. A DNMC does not automatically get a low score.

Well this is certainly a worthy photograph for the competition and could certainly have come a lot higher if for a few changes to be made. From this photograph we can clearly see that you know how to use your Cannon to achieve the optimum results for your composition. Your 30 second shutter speed was certainly a good decision to bring out those reflections on the water.

I think that this photo didn't go further because of its lack of interesting subjects. There is too much black empty space at the bottom of the image, yet the sky looks so interesting, it's a shame that you didn't show more of that instead. Otherwise the photo is a great idea and produces a nice image with heat.

Overall, I'm surprised that this picture didn't actually go further but don't take it personally. From browsing through your profile it would appear that your macro shots seem to be much more effective.

Good Luck for all Future Competitions!

I liek the colors but there is too much empty foreground for me. I guess, I would have cropped it tighter as neither the water nor the sky add much to the photo.

Just a suggestion a little more croping on the bottom.

Beautiful shot with great colors. The empty space in the foreground, even though dark, works very well in this shot, helping to give it some "weight" and add some richness to the color.
