Relaxing Summerby jdw_picsComment by Germaine: Nice picture of a pretty girl on a tree branch. For me, the highlights on her legs and in the grass distract from the whole composition. They make me want to squint. |

Relaxing Summerby jdw_picsComment by rwaudio: Interesting subject, fits the challenge well, but the border detracts from the overall look, no border or black/white would have gotten another point. |

Relaxing Summerby jdw_picsComment by Jutilda: Lovely model. Her position is a tad awkward to me. THe lighting is too harsh - it would be great to shoot at a different time of day. You could crop just below her waist and it would still have impact and that way you could still incorporate enough of the tree and zoom in on her pretty face. |

Dayton (My First Entry)by jdw_picsComment by Brad: AT 400x320 pixels, this image is a bit on the small side for a challenge.
Seeing as the boy doen't look to be abandoned, I can only assume the rubble behind him is what is abandoned. Though a decent shot photographically, a viewer's eyes will be drawn to the boy rather than what the challenge was intended to be about. Had the image been taken from a bit further back and had him off to the side maybe fro perspective, this would have met the challenge better. |

Dayton (My First Entry)by jdw_picsComment by notonline: No a very good entry for this particular challenge. Since the challenge is supposed to be about abandoned building there is no real point to having your son in the photo. There is also no way to tell or interpret that the building is abandoned. The photo size is way to small as well and you are allowed to go up to 640 x 640 pixels. Good luck in this challenge. |

Dayton (My First Entry)by jdw_picsComment by viajero: For DPC always try to use the full 640 pixel size. The boy is nicely posed. The exposure on him is very good. The color and detail in the shirt and pants are excellent. The stone he's resting his hand on is very bright and tends to distract my gaze from the subject. |
