First Impression:
Great timing to capture this! A bit hazy, but keeping in mind the challenge it was taken for, that becomes less of an issue when voting.
Composition/Background:
I like the leading line of the road and how the hill even seems to lead into that. The yellow posts are distracting, but I think you handled them well, making them far enough out that they're not so close and overpowering. I love how you've captured the full arc of the rainbow too.
Technicals:
As you mentioned in your notes, it's unfortunate that you didn't have your filters with you, as that could have helped a bit. I don't know if adjusting the saturation in camera would have helped at all in bringing out the colors, but it could be a suggestion.
Overall:
Well captured. I think you probably did the best you could with what you had available as far as the landscape. DPC voters are used to the bold, clean shots and I think this would have scored much higher if it had been in any other challenge. I'd love to see that processed version! Nicely done!
