A couple notes: Many of you would love the photo if not for the tremendous flare that absolutely detracts from it, makes it technically deformed, and so on and so forth. A few other guided souls, however, actually like it. They like the "neat lighting." Detractors, I gotta say, I wasn't going for the funky flare -- it was an
accident -- but when it happened, I thought, Wow that looks really neat. So no it's not technically perfect but I think it's those happy accidents that really elevate a picture into something more. (In this case, "something more" means top 30%, which I'll take!)
What was I trying to do with the lightning? Well, after I saw the flare mistake, I thought it kinda looked like fog. And I thought, "Fog in the Metro. How romantic..." And that was the end of my voyeuristic experimentation! Back home for Post.
