Great bug-eye. Love the foucs and the colors. You did very well here, and have a super nice lens. This is a busy shot and I wonder if a tighter crop would of focused the viewer on the main subject? Good work.

See, I know I should get up early one of these days ... this is a beautiful photo. You got the exposure just right, with wonderful colors. The composition is nice, too. The outlines of the rocks to lead you through the photo, the reflection of the sun leading to the rocks, pluas the different parts of the water, some smooth, some a little wavy just add some texture, too. Nicely done :)

Very similar to some images of my own, but not ones that I like. I don't think that dragonflies look very good with their wings in that position. Wait for it to take off and land in that spot again with its wings out and you'll get a much better image. This species has very striking thorax coloration, but it's covered up by the wings. It's got that "droopy" look.

What a cool shot! Great focus and composition. I do find the reflections in the eyes to be a little distracting and (I can't believe I am saying this) the color almost seems too intense. Not sure if a polarizing filter or a screen would help reduce the glare...That thing is unreal!
