Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by ktm7: nice photo. the branch and the lizard are in good focus but the background is so blurry that its actually a bit disracting. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by ecdillon: What a great capture. He is really camouflaged! This is a wonderful shot and I hope it will be appreciated. The only thing that is problematic for me is that the colors are so similar and muted that it loses a little impact. I don't know if black and white would look better or worse. Another idea is bumping up the contrast. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by mcrochip: Very nice pose - be sure to thank the lizard for that. Focus is good for this shot, and I like the level of detail. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by Caine: Could have backed off a bit and made the shot less about the lizard and more about the branch which happens to have a camoflaged lizard on it. |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by bowronfam3: I think too many people misinterprated the challenge. A photo doesn't qualify for the branch challenge JUST BECAUSE there's a branch somewhere in the photo. Try getting more creative! |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by m2iw: Good use of DOF. Perhaps this shot could use a touch more sharpness and/or a contrast adjustment to really bring the foreground and main subject out. Also, it would be a much more interesting shot if the lizard was shot at a lower angle to make it look like you are sharing the branch with him. Good luck in the challenge and keep shooting! |

Lizardby nati_in_hereComment by KaDi: This image is lacking in technique. The constrast is rather shallow. The far branch competes with, rather than compliments, the head of the lizard.
As for the challenge topic...your title says it. This is a lizard on a branch, not a branch with a lizard on it. |
