I love the colors in this shot. Maybe its just me, but i think it would have been slightly more effective if the grass in the bottom left corner wasnt such a hot spot. Great job though.

A few things. It's probably better to rotate the canvas so the shower tiles are parallel with the border (unless you go for an obvious tilt for effect). The technicals are not bad. The lighting is nice without too much glare and the focus is sharp. I'm not quite sure that this was the best shot for duotone as the tone doesn't seem to add too much to the picture. In the end, we may not have enough to keep our interest. The 103 5 scores show that people didn't have a big beef with the shot, but also didn't get wowed by it.

Interesting idea for a shot. Would have been miles better, in my opinion, if she'd been standing straighter and wearing something more appropriate. Because she's on a third line, because she's illuminated, and because she's in the middle of the circles, the eye is drawn right to her body (actually, mine goes straight to her bottom and tummy), and her baggy low-rise jeans, exposed midriff, and seeming slouching posture detract from the otherwise quite interesting shot you've set up.

P.S. I'd have liked to see it without the outside light on as well.

Since you posted this in the forums for comments and I voted it a 5, I'll leave some feedback.

First Impression - the most important one:
What we have here is a good technical photo. Lighting, exposure, focus are all ok, but the image lacks any sort of interest (other than a very pretty face). The duotoning of the image doesn't add to the photo, but rather may be taking away from it.

Composition:
Composition is technically strong ,but lacks an interest.

Subject:
Sucbject is clear, good seperation from background.

Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
Colour - Not real fond of the greenish tint to the duotone.
Focus - Sharp, but perhaps could use a bit more USM.
Light- Good, but realitively flat and uninteresting.

To grow its vote?:
Technicals alone don't go far here. Perhaps even a less technical photo does better here if it is interesting. You have the technicals, but you are going to have to dig a little deeper into the creativity to grow this image.

One idea for this particular image would be to have her head under the water, with water running through her hair, head leaned back.

Summary:
You've got the technicals going for them, now, go find some WOW! Voters at DPC like WOW. They also like to be told a story. Just dig a little deeper, you have the know-how (it appears) to do this.

Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy
