Crop this in to mid bird, removing the oof grass in the foreground and putting the focus on the birds head, and you've got an amazing shot.

I'd like to see more of the legs if possible. It looks like the grass is long where you were so that might be hard to do. Also maybe change the crop a bit. The dogs tail is cut off in the picture. If you reshoot this picture maybe get down a little lower to the dogs level. I hope this helps some. Beautiful dog. Hope you had fun hunting.

I used to live 30 minutes away from Medora, and you're right, nothing but sweeping vistas to shoot. It's very difficult to get a foreground object without screwing up the shot, especially at high noon, when this one was taken.

Nice photo of the badlands, but it seems to lack something in the foreground, and the sky color looks very fake. However, I have been to this place, and there isn't really a great opportunity for foreground that stands out.

Really unique way to use the theme, I love the idea! Did you try the shot in sepia or play with the colors, maybe something that would make them pop. Great job.
