The dark oily splotch on the wood takes away from your subject. The same subject on a different background would have been much better! Good effort.

Composition: 6, The diagonal line formed by the crankshaft leads me into and out of the picture making me miss the whole meaning of the image.A diagonal line should lead the viewer to something of great interest. IMO

It's a crank shaft, and cam shaft for what engine, I don't know Possibly a Briggs & Stratton IC 12 hp

Looks like a crankshaft & Camshaft from a one-cylinder engine.
A bit too much image compression or neat image applied. A minor CCW rotation and crop to remove the angled wood in the top left would have helped here.
