Interesting shot, but IMO the colours look a little off, that said it is a disassembled object which makes it a lot better than a lot of shots in the challenge.

The white background isn't working for me with this. Some fo the pieces blend right into it and they are difficult to see.

I don't mind the cropping on this one. It's busy, but it still feels like there's a little bit of room to breath. It feels random, but at the same time deliberate. "real" if you will. With that said. the lighting feels a bit harsh. The subtle white on white is lost in the glare of the light source. I like the audio plug on the left, it helps to tell a story, but the plug on the right seems out of place, like both ends of the line came out when it "fell." The color cast on the batteries seems a bit strange. the copper is really red, I'm not sure why that is.

Okay. I think I was voted on pretty harshly on this one. I feel I have had worse entries that scored higher. I interepreted the instructions as use a water bottle in the photo not neccisarily the actual subject. Yes Slugs are kind of grose but I still respect their place in the scheme of things. I did not kill it after the shoot I let it go. But I did as a child until I knew better. I am unsure why it scored as lowly as it did when other more cruel images have even won ribbons. I did not expect to place I do agree with the DOF comment as well as the other technical comments. Im sorry if this offended you I didnt think It would get too much negative feedback. Ive never been this confused by any of my ratings, Im no Ansel Adams I know that.

reminds me of a mispent youth... I like it a lot. Maybe a little less light in the bottle, but the salt in the background is perfect. This will be a desktop that makes me smile each time I see it.
