This looks a little too much like clutter to me so I'm not crazy about it. It meets the challenge and I'm sure most of the men will relate to it though. Technically all looks fine so I can overlook my personal taste. 6 Gracious....aka...Grayce

Interesting collection and like the old pencil, adding the colour to the picture. Too much earth in foreground for me.

Great idea, composition......poor light. I know natural but it's too much with the ground and washes out the _tools_. Still I do like your effort. Score 7 ~Kee

Very nice. My thoughts exactly. I entered something else, but wished I could have done something with a carpenters pencil. My first job was in a lumber yard (and I'm a girl, so that made it extra special) I got a lot of flack for being a girl "out of place" but after 3 years, I real knew my stuff and I was the only one that ever remembered my pencil, so the (at first skeptical) guys needed me to mark stuff for cutting and I felt like I finally fit in.
Anyway, lol...The lighting is great. Maybe a little bit dark behind the hammer and wrist section of the glove, but I don't think it takes away from the photo. Great shot and good luck with the challenge.

they look like horseshoe nails...but I must be wrong. The pencil is cool in the stilllife, tho.

Very good!! Nice set-up. A little harsh in the lighting but, bright sun does that. I think you should do well with this shot. Cute little red pencil looks like he/she is among good friends.....

Maybe a tighter shot on the tools would punch this up?
