A study in whiteby camelotnorthComment by cardmaverick: Be carefull about what you have surrounding a shiny object when you photograph it. Try and set up sometihing more appropriate to be reflected by the object. A good example I have is actually from the LOTR film "The Fellowship of the Ring". Sarumans tower was a shinny miniture model that they shot and later put it into a shot with lots of trees. In order for the tower to look like it realistically fit into the composite, they they filmed it surrounded with scale images of trees from the actual real life location. The end result is that the model tower had reflections of scale trees and not not giant looking grips and PAs running around a studio! |

A study in whiteby camelotnorthComment by scuds: Reflections kinda mess up with the image! Could have stretched that white sheet to give a better look to the background. |

Granny,s winter pastimeby camelotnorthComment by puzzled: I love, love, love pictures of old hands, especially when they are doing something like here in your entry. I really wish that levels or something were applied (it's advanced editing, so I think that's okay) to make her hands not so washed out. For example, there's a reflection on the pinky finger that I think could be taken away with a dose of levels. I think the composition is good and you've definitely met the challenge. |
