This came out a little too snapshotish for me (not a bad thing). If you could have gotten an angle that had foliage where we see house in the lower right, I think that would have helped a lot. The lines of the fence are very promising and the expression on his face is priceless :) Also the crop is kind of close to the top of his head. This could have benefited from the "rule of thirds" as well. Look in the forums to a great link that JM put up. Your lucky to have access to such a great model :) ~Qyl~

Snapshots of kids arent that visually interesting, unless you have an emotional attachment to the kids. Next time, maybe show the subject in such a way that conveys your emotions about him orher.

Well Tyler, with the look on your face i'm glad you're on the other side of that fence. Looks like this snapshot has a slight blue ting, was it an overcast day? Try fideling with white balence if your camera has this feture, or play with a touch of red/green in post processing.
