Bonnettby dave2119Comment by emorgan49: Flash, right? The light form a flash is so hard to control. I think the reason an on camera flash looks so un natural is that we humans are accustomed to light coming from above. The sun is overhead, our lights are inthe ceiling. So the beautiful girl, the inegmatic smile, the colorful hat, the negative space - none of that is going to make up for the flash in the voting. Also if I cover up the left side of the image to get rid of the distracting background, i lose the back half of the bonnet but I think her face stands out better. This exact picture, done with windowlight would be a stunner! |

Bonnettby dave2119Comment by ShutterPug: nice sharp focus. I'm not sure the dark background is really best though. My thoghts are that a prairie in shallow DOF might have worked better. Good lighting! |
