A splash of color to burn off the coastal fog!by BethanComment by glass_slippers: This would have been a terrific shot if you had not blocked the front door of the house witht he tree and lost the shadow in the lower right of the building. Go left still keeping in the perspective of the path so you could have gotten the front door to show. If it was your home to do so, I would have also opened it a crack..it would naturally invite the eye to peek in. Keeping the perspective of the path I would have lowered the shot..or laid down on the ground to get it..that way the yellow house would really have jumped off a blue sky. Go retake it I bet you will see the resulting composition will thrill you. |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment by damean: I think this subject would be more poignant if you'd picked a more definitive part of the church (I'm guessing it's a church from your title). |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment by pcody: Classic subject. Interesting composition. Excellent tonal range. The only thing I would question is the decision to leave the dark area to the right. I'm not to good with negative space, I prefer to fill the frame so if I question it, it doen't mean it's wrong. |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment by KDO: Great idea for texture and title. I would like to see more aged wood and less peeling paint for more of a value range. The angle and cropping seem sort of midrange. I would like to see you pull out further or in tighter. |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment by Zoomdak: I like this angle and concept behind it. Lighting is peculiar, but new. Nice texture, but a tad out of focus. |
