splash.jpgby tasha4pawsComment by digitalknight: when I first looked at this, I didn't know what I was seeing, the black in the foreground was confusing to me. I think there is too much black, and to much white. If it were mine I'd go back 70% on all applied effects. Hope that's helpful.
I've been creating effects for video and film for 15 years, and find that most effects are too visible. The artist has worked hard on the effect and wants you to appreciate their work. However, it's the 8% effect, the 10%, effect, and the 5% effect stacked on top of each other that really creates the illusion of reality.
Now if you're creating art - you've done it! It's a very interesting abstract that made me stop and think. |

Want a biscuit ?by tasha4pawsComment by Bebe: A cute take on the challenge. I wish there was a little more light on the dog so we could better see his details, but having a fairly dark dog myself I know how hard that is to manage. Adorable boy, btw. |

Want a biscuit ?by tasha4pawsComment by bfox2: He certainly does look like a conspirator...I just wish that this were a bit lighter, especiall on the dog. It took me a second look to get exactly what was going on, becasue so much of the detail on the dog is lost in shadow. You might try, depending on your editing program, a brightness increase on the whole photo and then a little dodging of the dog if hes still a little dark. Theres also an odd black line on the right side of the photo, not sure what thats about but it doesn't look intentional and its not super obvious. I suppose it could be a good indication of how well people actually look at your photo :) |
