i like the shade of brown you were able to achieve here. you could go further with the dodge/burn to make it more grunge like. i agree with what brian suggested about the ground.

To be honest, I like the treatment. I wouldn't say that it really speaks grunge to me, but the colors and textures really seem to come alive here where they don't in the first. Perhaps de-emphasizing (blur? something else?) the ground would add to the impact, but still a drastic improvement as is.
