back to the old houseby coldaComment by colda: Thanks for the comments - the model was actually my 15 year old son, who also was a good enough sport to walk around the town with make-up on before the shoot |

a minor modificationby coldaComment by Melethia: You know if you cross your eyes like that, they'll stay that way... Novel take on the challenge! A little less nostril would be better. |

back to the old houseby coldaComment by pawdrix: I'm embarassed to admit that I don't get it. Great image but the title doesn't make sense to me. Struggling. My image, entered in this Challenge asks the viewer to connect a dot or two which isn't happening for me and I assume you're having the exact problem??? Good luck just the same...it's a very cool shot. Message edited by author 2006-06-18 02:43:11. |

back to the old houseby coldaComment by e301: Nicely done - especially your framing. I get a sense of dissociation between the figure and the background that is a little unsettling - it's simply the depth of field, of course, but it has the effect of making her surroundings feel simply like a backdrop perhaps, rather than a world she is involved in; her berlin 1930's make-up set aginst the nicely ordered georgian architecture perhaps adds to that feeling too. A nice piece of work however, and that point is more interesting than troubling. |

back to the old houseby coldaComment by classicalnut: Love the colors... the building and her shirt give me a good idea of where she is and why she's there...but the far off stare makes me wonder who she's looking at... it tells a story without giving anything away. |
