Shark Bait....Boo Ha Haby foxycoxy2auComment by Elemmennope: I really don't care for the border (and those don't usually bug me) -- it's just overkill here. Beautiful fish though. Great subject for the challenge. I practically need to squint to look at it! |

Shark Bait....Boo Ha Haby foxycoxy2auComment by ajschmidt: Great Title. Looks a little soft. When shooting through most glass AF will hit a few mm far from the subject. I just chronicled a whole fish pet shop and also found that the scales stand out much better if you offset a KEY at 45 degrees to the fish. Remember that light will penetrate 2-3 MM into the fish before refracting. |

Shark Bait....Boo Ha Haby foxycoxy2auComment by Nelzie: The border pisses me off. It is to bright and destracting.
The rest of the image is quite nice. I like the way you were able to capture the fish without being slapped with the issues common to fishtank photography.
I am sorry if my initial statement sounded very harsh, but it was the first thing that popped into my head when your image loaded and I think it is important that you are aware of initial reactions to your work, once I got past the border the rest of the image is very nice. |
