Eight Secondsby JiaBobComment by Teafran: I know what the experiment was and I can tell you from experience, it is hard to do as well and perfectly as this one is. Beautiful and by rights, a Top Five finisher for sure. |

Time Trialby JiaBobComment by smardaz: interesting, in the thumb i thought it was honey or some amber, is it a bug in a vase on a table? |

Time Trialby JiaBobComment by RyanW: it's interesting, but i'm wondering if it'd be possible to see a shot of the center blurred with the bug in focus |

"High in the Sunlit Silence"by JiaBobComment by hahn23: Black-crowned Night-Heron. Good capture in flight. Love the wing primaries detail....translucent light coming through. Would have liked to see more of the face, especially the eye and beak. But, this is very good photography. 7 |

"High in the Sunlit Silence"by JiaBobComment by pamb: Beautiful and sharp, great detail in the feathers and the exposure is well done. The technicals are well looked after in this shot, but I feel the composition could have been more exciting - wings up instead of down maybe, or flying toward instead of away. I appreciate the difficulty in even getting this shot in the first place - well done. |

"High in the Sunlit Silence"by JiaBobComment by HarveyG: I know how hard it is to do BiF. The most frustrating part is that they always fly away from you. Kudos for sharpness and stop motion and an exposure which emphasises the detail in the feathers but the head/eye is dark and quartering away. |
