Second D.Q.by KDOComment by KDO: Okay, over a year and half has passed; I am still recovering from an injury and surgery that had me on the sidelines for too long. It seems that almost every brutal thing that life has to offer has come and, for the most part, gone. I am back and looking at this image makes me laugh at myself for my ridiculously intense response regarding the D.Q. of this image.
Ah, to have a life with so little conflict and heartbreak that I would freak out over something so insignificant as a D.Q. in a photo contest...tsk,tsk, tsk.
So, I find myself back here for the joy of sharing a passion for images with others, simply that and nothing more.
Blessings to all who pass this way. |

Second D.Q.by KDOComment by strikebishop: JelloPhotog,
I agree with some of the posters here that this was an unfair DQ. I have been nothing more than an observer here DPC for some time, and have had a chance to extinguish my own bias for many of the challenge entries. From what I have read of most of the rules @ DPC, it seems to me that while these are 'digital' photo contests, the council is attempting to 'challenge' the photographer/artists by using only the simple/classic darkroom techniques. With this particular image, there are masking & "light painting" techniques used in standard darkrooms that produce this same effect by overexposing targeted areas of the film. Many of the old "photo-frauders" used this technique to create UFO's on film images. I apologize for such a long post. In closing, I will say again this entry was unfairly DQ'd as I believe the council overlooked this classic technique. |

Second D.Q.by KDOComment by JelloPhotog: Finally, some justice! I have grown so sick and tired of images on DPChallenge being entered and winning that violate the rules form the OVER use of Photoshop. FINALLY, the powers that be have made the CORRECT decision and DQed one!!! It's about FREAKING TIME! |

Two Roads Divergedby KDOComment by ClickNSee: Really cool composition! Makes me think there should be a scarcrow hanging off and old post there on the corner. I love this shot. Very nice...! |

Three Times a Weekby KDOComment by rebelo: What's going on in the picture? I figured it was some diabetic type thing, but that doesn't look like a syringe. And now MyDayStrong's comment has me wondering if I am wrong.
Can someone let me know what the guy is doing? |
