this has a very asian flavor to it... great color (the graded tones in the bowl are nice) and use of negative space. maybe the composition could have been strengthened if the stalk was oriented towards the upper right and the lighting placed to create the shadow in a diagonal across that same corner, creating a balance in an asymmetrical shot. good work! Would have liked more tomatoes on the vine, and the light on the background cloth catches my eye on the right hand side, and is a little distracting. I like the idea of the beautiful red bowl against the black backdrop. Very dramatic. lhall-7

That's a whole lot of red. I like the angle on the bowl, and the placement within the frame. The tomato is very nice looking and I like the addition of the stem. Gives it that "natural" look. The only thing bothering me is the background. I think that being totally black on the left, it should also be totally black on the right as well. It (the background) appeasr to be a bit light in the bottom right corner. Overall good photo though. Good luck in the challenge. ~HBunch7187~
