this looks like an interesting place to shoot. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. i'm not quite sure, but i have a feeling that you might be asking more of your camera than it is capable of; the far detail just isn't there. if this image isn't scoring where you wanted it to, please don't take it personally. just look at this as a starting point for the rest of the year! good luck in this and the coming challenges!

Nice where the light touches the dunes but too much dull foreground. Also slight lean on the sea line

Nice composition - the ocean liner is a nice tough - the lighting is a bit dull though - I'd try shooting at another time of day.

For this picture, please try to crop the bottom part up to where the sea start and check the difference. I beleive that the picture will stand out. Please also be careful about horizon line too.

It`s a great scene but photo has a bit of a blue cast to it especially in the sand and the horizon is running downhill right to left. But these could both be easily fixed under the advanced editing rules or even the basic rules. This photo has a lot of potential, not saying its bad just could be better.6
