Comment by pineapple:
The harsh light and sick greeness work to make a feeling of desolation. It would be easy to add some unsightly props such as needles and syringes and what not. I'm somewhat glad you understated the image though, in that respect.

While the color of this image is not real flattering, it too seems desolate. This picture really leaves it to your imagination as to what is going on. I think you did a good job of relating what desolation is to you.

One of many with the same basic construction. This one needs to be darker to bring out the atmosphere.

I actually like it just fine this way. I love the color. I want that cloud on the left to stand out a little more but other than that- I really enjoy this image.

Macros are sometimes easier with a tripod. This one is very nice both in color and compositon. This would be a fun image to play around with in the way of unusual crops or or some of the fun Photoshop options like giving it a watercolor look. Lots of possibility. Very nice.

This is beautiful! I don't know how the original looked but this one is very nice. My only suggestion is to give it a pass through Neat Image just to smooth out the sky, it seems to have a weird "fabric-y" (that is SO not a word! LOL) texture.
