to be fair, you're not only in the 2nd last spot because of the title.
while sharpness/clarity/color are important to the image, it also has to be enticing. i don't feel any draw to this image, as it appears neither did the voters.
i truly do not intend any offense, just offering up an opinion...

Fun subject, image is nice and sharp. It feels a bit over-saturated on the blue level. re-composing the image to move the subject off-center (rule of thirds) might make the image a bit more dynamic.
