For me a tack-sharp photo with none of the post processing would have been much stronger. Still I'm giving this a 7 because of the excellent placement of the bird and the effect of the lighting. |

NI and and similar programs need to be used judiciously, and in conjunction with sharpening (only in the full version of NI) to get the real value.
Despite that, this image is pretty cool, and will make a nice print if you choose to do so...it has an ethereal quality to it...a halo of sorts. good luck in the challenge. |

I found the thumbnail look better than the actual photo and looks good if you step about 1m back from the monitor. |
