First Impressions
I like the extreme composition, unfortunately I think the geology isn't showcased quite enough for the Challenge.

Read your comments, indeed it could fit the Challenge, but I think you'd have to either zoom in further to show more geological detail or else include more in your frame to show the land form a little better. The landscape is a little dark, so difficult to discern the features or textures. A slower shutter speed may have helped there, but you may have created issues with the sky, framed as is.

Summary
A little dark for me to see the detail for this particular Challenge. As already mentioned, whilst I like the bold composition, there needs to be more context or more detail to discern the geological element(s).
