This is very good. I like the rim lighting on the people below. I can't make up my mind about the "bridge". Part of me likes it because it adds to the busy feel, part of me thinks it's distracting to the people below, which is the best part of the picture for me.

I recognize this spot. Was there in November '08. I can't believe its not raining! I think the picture would be more visually interesting if you cropped out the Millenium Bridge. It would draw the eye more to the actual subjects which I believe are the people and the trumpet player. Good choice to do it in B&W. Did you go on "The Eye"?

This is a cool shot - I gave it an 8. It has some problems, but they are balanced out by the quirkiness of the whole thing. Too bad you didn't get a better score.

I love the subject here but I think the technicals are a little chaotic. I think that without the blondish head in the lower right corner I would like it a lot more. I'm curious to see where this was taken, because that is a scary tree!

This just doesn't work for me... nothing is level, but it's not out of level enough to be 'artsy'...one person is in focus and there are some parts of other people... I don't know what you were trying to say... but I really hope others can see it...for I fear that this won't score highly. *sigh*

Comment by ubique:
This is terrific, and the fact that it's so oddly composed and blurred makes it all swim uncertainly around the protagonist's head. I suppose it's more correctly a reverse panopticon, in that a single point (the man) is seen from everywhere else. When seen in a flock like this, those CCTV cameras are even more malevolent-looking, aren't they?

Very good that you spotted this.

I did not know the meaning of the work, and I searched Wiki

"The Panopticon is a type of prison building designed by English philosopher and social theorist Jeremy Bentham in 1785. The concept of the design is to allow an observer to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) prisoners without the prisoners being able to tell whether they are being watched, thereby conveying what one architect has called the "sentiment of an invisible omniscience."[1]

Hey the cameras here are too obvious! :-))).

an interesting entry - the stillness of the man's head drives our attention to him, but i am torn between looking at him and the woman and that awesome facial expression
