Feels like a 'snap' with little thought to the distracting background. You have also cropped off the front paws and the top of the guys head. A poor effort really.

This appears to me as more of a family snapshot of a very cute dog, but just an opinion. I think the dog might stand out more crisply with a different, more festively colored background. I think that for this type of portrait, foucs needs to be sharp.
