It is all in the eyes. A very good and penetrating gaze. A little deeper dof would have been better. The skin tones and lighting are on the money. Bumping up.

The left eye is out of the plane of focus, as clearly seen. You're focusing in on a specific feature of your face, and I wish you kept both of them in focus. Good detail within the other eye and a rather revealing catch light, as your title suggests, give insight to this picture. I offer you a 6.

Nice composition. You have three hot spots. Moving your light to the sides and diffusing it more would help with this and give it much more depth. THis is needed in a still life shot such as this. Did you spray the apples with water? It almost looks like they have wierd growths or something on them. This is a great subject for lighting study. Keep workin on it. You almost got it.
