beautiful portrait of a beautiful woman. great use of negative space. would suggest that you might want to completely take out the details in the negative space before delivering a final print. this is an exquisite piece of work. don't know if you shot it with the challenge in mind, but the angle really adds to the impact. good luck.

I like the way this seems like a picture of a person instead of an old woman. Nice illustration of the connection between dignity and authority. The detail comtributes to the beauty of the person and the portrait.

By chosing to capture her from below you wanted to show her dominant position. That's good. I think if the light came from below, too, that would have emphasized this impression.

very beautiful photo! The lighting is placed well and really brings out the lines on her face. It is kind of an extreme enterpration of the challenge but overall I think this photo is going to be top 10
