What a pain... I have those scenes every time the guests are in. Despite the flash the detail and lighting are fair and composition is adequate.

Try bouncing the light off of the ceiling, should get rid of the harsh shadows. This doesn't meet the challenge for me.

The expectation i see is on frame here - her reaction to someone trying to take Stitch. very harsh shadows fromthe flash distract, not enhance, the pic.

the idea is nicely composed but flash is overpowering. The lighting would be more effective if outside or near bright lamp.

Lighting is very bland. A flashlight highlighting the Anti Snore would improve the image.
