Dark, moody, excellent lighting and a very unusual pose/composition sets this aside from most. The eye detail grabs and holds my own eyes. Perhaps a little tighter crop may look better with just a bit off the top, just above the thumb, as the hair on top is a bit distracting in my opinion. ((7))

I've been watching this whole series you've been doing with your father and enjoying each one. This is another great photo which you've added a nice tone to. It enhances the feeling of age but in a warm, not a cold way. Small things make this photo, like the pattern in his jacket at the lower right, the shirt collar, and of course, his weathered face. Very nice work.
