Watching the world go by on Lake Maggioreby Luca66Comment by Jutilda: Greetings from the Critique Club!!
At first glance, I sense a lonely feeling to this shot with the single figure looking out onto the night water. Maybe he's wishing he were on that boat. I like the composition and I think the overall image is quite nice with the two focal points. The black tree at the top of the image might be lessened by a quick crop. The shimmer of the water work to showcase the silhouette of the figure on the bench. This certainly meets the challenge and I say GOOD JOB. Keep up the good work. Judy |

Near the skyby Luca66Comment by Jutilda: This is a stunning perspective. I think I'd have liked it better if part of the area to the left were missing, leaving the misty clouds on the right, and the building wouldn't be so dead centered in the shot. |

Watching the world go by on Lake Maggioreby Luca66Comment by elee3009: I had my honeymoon around Lago Maggiore (assume there's only one and it's in North Italy). Loved the region. Appreciate the sentiment you're trying to evoke with this image. Is a bit too dark even for a silhouette at dusk shot altho' the composition's ok. Don't know if it's right to say more contrast might be better. Just doesn't seem sharp overall. |
