Good detail on the necklace and dress/shirt... but my eyes are drawn to her necklace, rather than her.

Lovely tonality and lovely processing here. As to the subject of it, I am not sure of where to place this shot other than in a file with excellent family pics. Lovely memories.
You just alluded to the novel which is better than illustrating a title
I give it 6 for its qualities but unfortunately this photo is not telling me much

Wonderfully creative take on the title. I like it, hope you're not getting dinged for it by the literalists! Such a beautiful portrait! Love the tones and light, and even the flare/reflection on her neck! Wish the eyes were a little more sharp and prominent (a little fill light/reflector), but overall a lovely portrait! (Upping my previous vote)

Lovely portrait with sun flare and great contre jour lighting, although the lighting on her face is too clear/sharp and undoes some of the magic. I like that you turned the novel title into a pun. The composition is competent but doesn't excite me. 5
