You know it is lichen and I know it's lichen, but it might be tough for someone to tell that without a rock or whatever formation this is growing on for comparison, so perhaps a Rock substitution for the blue sky would be more exciting. Maybe a little more depth of field would help. Nevertheless, you have an interesting subject and I like it overall.

I think this could be improved with more depth of field so that the back left and right edges are sharp. Nicely defined texture.
