I know about the focus lag. My experience with a Canon EOD300D tells me two things:
A) It focus faster
B) It wouldn't save you on this one (ooppps... I'm going to get rammed here)
I would use single-auto-focus on the hand and then press the focus button and change to manual to lock it there. Works for me. |

going for the killby Jesse_JamesComment by wwjdwithca: Very good idea, but I'm sorry to say the execution could have been better. Try pre-focusing to a point that you figure is the correct distance in advance, then hold until you have the shot. 7 for effort. |
